The Story
Duchess Cupcake is a refined feline alchemist whose laboratory is in a state of permanent, charming disarray. Bottles tip, carefully measured colors end up in the wrong vessels, and important orders simply cannot wait. As her newest apprentice, you must restore order to the shelves and brew every potion to the Duchess's exacting standards.
A Living Apothecary
The laboratory has been rebuilt around a collection of 18 detailed glass bottle designs. Different shapes appear throughout each puzzle, with liquid clipped naturally inside every chamber and neck. Colors share one consistent palette across bottles, streams, order cards, effects, and the Chromatorium wheel, so a reagent remains unmistakably the same color wherever it appears.
During a pour, the source bottle lifts from the shelf, travels to the receiving vial, tips over its opening, releases a stream, and returns to place. Mixing produces its own bursts and reactions, while bubbling liquids, glass highlights, corks, sound effects, and Duchess Cupcake's spoken lines make the laboratory feel alive.
Three Modes, One Cauldron
Each mode approaches color puzzles differently, with its own rules and rhythm:
- Alchemy Lab — pour measured units of red, blue, and yellow to create orange, green, and purple, complete potion orders, and leave the remaining bottles tidy.
- Lab Cleanup — a pure sorting challenge with no mixing. Move whole connected sections of one color and finish with every bottle perfectly organized.
- The Chromatorium — use a dedicated mixing vial and a twelve-color wheel to create advanced hues through careful color relationships.
Daily Brew offers a shared new challenge each day, while Endless Brew creates fresh puzzles for players who want to keep experimenting.
Duchess Cupcake
The Duchess does more than supervise from her portrait. She speaks during introductions, reactions, warnings, victories, and the detailed walkthrough for each mode. Her voice can be muted or replayed, and familiar lines are cached for a quick return performance.
